Tavomansa Kani, roughly translated from Arashanti into common roughly means a complete written work, record, or lexicon, in the sense that Vati uses it to refer to this journal. It is a work written by a human warlock in the game World of Warcraft who is not really played to class. Instead, she is more of a traveling anthropologist and story collector of sorts, when it comes to casting, she is something of a fire priest/shaman amongst her people. She is only a warlock because I did not want to repeat classes in the leveling experience. Within Tavomansa Kani you will find records of Vati’s thoughts, experiences, and observations. You will also find stories she has written, heard, and wishes to record. As Vati travels to various places she collects stories and legends while observing and making records of the various cultures and peoples of the lands she visits. Most of these are recorded in common. If you wish to have somehow gotten ahold of the journal in character, please discuss it with me first.

Name: Sharasvati of the Arashanti (Shah-russ-vah-tee and Ah-ruh-shahn-tee)
Nickname: Vati (Vah-tee)
Race: Arashanti (Human)
Class: Vishna (OOC Warlock)
Professions: Alchemy and Inscription
Career: Vishna (something of a shamanic priest for her people) and something of a traveling cultural
anthropologist, historian, andlore/story collector. Also a writer/scholar.
Hobbies: Collecting books and various artifacts. Her hobbies blur with her career.
Description: Vati is naturally dark with solid black hair that flows just passed her hips. Her hair is mostly loose, save for two half-inch thick braids that start at either temple and join together, centered, at the back of her head in a small pony tail. The partial pony tail in the back is split into six smaller braids, the bottom thirds of which are decorated in alternating black and dark red stone beads. Her eyes are blue and she has a dark red focus gem set over her third eye (figuratively speaking); the spot just above and between her eyebrows. The gem seems permanently set somehow and is rather small, about the size of a pea, perhaps smaller.
Vati appears to be rather well groomed most times, taking care in her appearance. However, when on the road, she is typically in mismatched traveling gear, as opposed to her fancy robes, and just as likely to be covered in dirt and dust as the rest of her team. She is almost always seen with neatly ordered notes or a book in hand, her bags usually being packed with such things. She tends to smell like tea, which she is fond of both drinking and making with various herbs.
Vati carries the accent of her people, those with knowledge in such things may be able to place it from the areas of Stranglethorn Vale, particularly the northern hills. Though the accent is noticeable, it is not overly thick and fairly easy to understand. For the most part, it simply softens the harsher sounds in common (for example, the sharp a, as in cat, will come out more rounded and subtle; the ch blend is sometimes pronounced more like the sh blend; etc.).
Personality: Vati is rather curious, but in a reserved fashion. She is prone to over-thinking matters and is rather studious. She gets rather passionate knowledge, learning and about her studies in general and can get carried away with theories and possibilities. She has an inquisitive mind with the training and usually professional demeanor of a spiritual, mental, and physical (as in non-magical) doctor (her people do not see the spirit, mind, and body as separate entities, so she is considered something of a doctor of all 3 amongst her people).
Family: Vati is the eldest of three sisters, each born into the profession of the vishna (determined to have the gift of the elements at birth). The youngest sister, Shantala, is now deceased, having been killed in the more recent scourge invasion (her remains have been found and cremated as per custom). Her mother died giving birth to Shantala when Vati was quite young. The middle sister, Nisnivani, is still alive but somewhat distant since the youngest’s death, heeding tradition more. Her father died in a hunting incident when she was only 12. Her paternal grandmother, Nadira, passed very recently. She was never close to the rest of her family, and they’ve all passed as well, mostly in the troubled times her tribe were met with in Northern Stranglethorn Vale before they dispersed
Background: Along with her sisters, Vati was raised to be a vishna since birth. At older ages, this entailed constant training with the elements and rigorous practice in the ways of balance. However, due to her gender, she was also held back from the explorations her inquisitive mind wished to pursue. After the death of her father, she and her sisters followed their paternal grandmother, the only surviving family elder to Stormwind city. Meanwhile, the rest of the tribe continued to disperse as the Vale became an increasingly harsh environment with hostile neighbors encroaching.
Her tribe no longer occupies its small section of the Vale and have thinned out amongst the general populace. This has driven Vati to make records of her people, something that does not really exist for their small tribe in the literature. She wishes to make a record of her culture before it dies and is forgotten forever, as though it never existed in the first place. This drive has blossomed into the Tavomansa Kani and Vati’s quest to discover and record as much as she can about the people she meets and experiences she has.
